After having the first full day on the resort to fully recover from the Jetlag we are now introduced to most people working at the resort.
The morning started early for me with a walk on a deserted beach around 7 in the morning watching the soft morning light paintthe landscape and the low tide creating a path to the nearby islands.
So that is how a lazy day in the Tanjung Rhu can look like.....not too bad. Of course we will also do some activities later, like a mangrove forrest tour, snorkeling, a visit to the city etc. I just wanted to show you that life in a resort is not always easy ;)
till the next post.
The morning started early for me with a walk on a deserted beach around 7 in the morning watching the soft morning light paintthe landscape and the low tide creating a path to the nearby islands.
The beach is very wide, long and white. In the parts that fell dry due to the lowtide you could distingish different colours of grey and black like in a sketch. I walked for a while in the direction of the river and the mangrove forrests but turned around not even halfway through because I was getting warm and hungry. Then I sat for a bit on one of the beach chairs before it was time to have one of the most elaborated breakfasts in history ;) There seemed to have been an endless line of small stands with; everything related to egg, bread, fruits, indian wraps, Malay rice and noodle dishes, juices, etc. Very good indeed!! My breakfast consisted of 1st plate scrambled eggs with ham and toast, 2nd plate rice+chicken rendang+sausages+chicken tereyaki, 3rd plate scrambled eggs with fresh bacon+toast, 3rd dish yellow watermellon, red watermellon, dragon fruit and pineapple. After that I could not eat more....strange....
Today it was a rather rainy day, after 13.00 o' clock the rain started falling in the tropical way, a small flood :D At that moment we were in the sunset swimming pool enjoying the fresh rain and watching the beautiful misty layer that formed over pool as a result of the dancing raindrops. I love the tropics for the fact that it will never be cold, such a strange experience. The pool was even much cooler than the sea which was basically warm. After a nice and refreshing shower it was time to have lunch, where I ate vegetable samosas (fried triangular pastry filled with a sort of curry (it was a pakistan snack) with a mango juice. The rain continued and I had a sleepy moment after which we checked out the library where I borrowed 2 dvd's of which I watched one after my nap (Skeleton key). Then it was time to eat AGAIN, some Korean Beef dish, with a very strong ginger and sesame flavour, followed by a very nice with a desert of singaporean? wild rice cheese cake mmmmm. To end the day with a cocktail (mexicana, very sweet) and a beer in the pool bar.
